I apologize. I did not mean to be offensive.

My point was that if you are selecting programmers based upon who cost
the least in terms of man hours, instead of who is the better
programmer technically appears to be a  false economy to me. Throwing
man hours at a project will not necessarily increase production. What
you really want to do is to locate the freaking geniuses, wherever
they can be found offshore or onshore.

And thus, if one is concerned about employability, then do your best
to become a freaking genius. The closer you get, the more employable
you will be.
