Yes, sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. Pay your dues
and all of that. Resigning my Navy commision to take a job for $8 an
hour as a computer operator back in 1992 did not seem like all that
good of a career move, but I knew I wanted to work with computers and
it has paid off well for me since. Doing what you really love to do is
often its own reward. But if you really love what you do you will more
often than not be very successful with it.
