[gameprogrammer] directx and managed directx

Hi,
    Microsoft seems to be focussing a lot on managed directx lately and it 
seems easier to use with c# than using dirctx with c++. I was thinking about 
trying directx. Maybe I should first try managed directx with c# (I have 
programmed in c# and java) and when I have a good understanding of directx I 
will try it with c++ and win32 (i am not very comfortable with win32). 
    Any ideas or thoughts would be welcome.
