I am not sure what you mean by a termination signal. Are you talking
about a client / server message indicating end of transmission, or are
you asking what happens if the session is disconnected before such a
message can be sent?

I need to detect when the program receives a termination signal to save player data and send a bye packet. But I need some portable way to do it, is this possible or I need to implement specific code for each OS?
