I've just realised that that sounds a bit crap - I do try and debug my programs before I post the mailing list, honest! I did try and debug it, and IIRC it was where it created the new java.net.Socket() object. As I tried it in Linux and it worked, I haven't looked back since. I'll try and pin it down more accurately though.
