Good one Grant. Nice catch. (Eventually) - As you say, this way the next
time it happens you'll know where to look for the suckers...

Just thought while we are off topic, the other tip I have for this sort of
thing is to add stuff to your HOSTS file. Its a complete rip off from a
Un*x TCP/IP hosts file, and is in c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS (on
win2K - should be somewhere on win98)

I use this any time I have an Advert coming up in a web page. eg, lets take
Hotmail.com
here in the UK there is a portion of the hotmail home page which is
"http://ad.uk.doubleclick.net/adi/N2121.MSN.caratintuk/B1413691.4;sz=120x240;ord=[timestamp]?";

so, all you do , is add an entry in this HOSTS file like this:

127.0.0.1 ad.uk.doubleclick.net

From now on, anytime you attempt (or your browser attempts) to surf to
this site, it will redirect back to you.

very neat, and quick. Anytime you encounter a new popup or advert on a
page, you just find out the web domain its using and add it into the hosts
file, and you'll never go there again.

I think you can even download preconfigured hosts files with a pile of
advert sites pre written in.

All you need to do is right click on the advert banner, to find out the
address of the advert
