[gameprogrammer] Re: This List has been quite... so (WoW, etc...)

I am using subversion for version control, same thing I use at work,
works great. I totally agree with backups as I have had a few mishaps
in the past and lost literally months of work out of pure laziness in
setting up any automated backups or running my version control on my
redundant server.

At work I do cross platform stuff on netware, windows, and linux and
find myself hopping around all day in different areas, so when I do
get home I get in that habit like you of concentrating heavily into
one area... So hard to pull ones self away from our favorite areas! I
love algorithm design, I sit for hours with pen and paper working out
stuff, love implementing them, then I get bored with the easier parts
of the project. I will try to break it up into smaller milestones, and
expand my todo list to be less general, and see if that helps. Thanks
for the tips guys! Easy to be motived at work by money and deadlines,
not so easy at home with 10 month old twin boys that are starting to
crawl (in opposite directions of course), as well as WoW to play and
keep up to my wife in levels :) She plays with other moms in the area,
I can't believe my wife is out leveling me :(
