As I understand it XNA is a managed framework similar to DirectX..
Managed DirectX 2.0 has been cancelled and rolled into XNA. XNA is
still quite low level, and nothing like click and create. Im not sure if XNA supports native code development. 3DSMax is a powerful tool, but generally out of price range. there is a gmax version for mod development though that might be worth checking out. I am using Milkshape3D in my project at the moment, but it is a bit limited (it is cheap though). Torque is quite good these days, but you spend a lot of time scripting. The tools you pick really depend on the task, how many people you have and what skills they have, budget, time.. -Js Daniel Greeson wrote: --------------------- To unsubscribe go to http://gameprogrammer.com/mailinglist.html |
