[gameprogrammer] Mesh files

Hi,
 

I'm a studying video game development and am working on a prototype of a
game for an assignment.  As well as doing all the design and programming I
also have to do the artwork - which is a bit daunting in the tight
timescales.  I was wondering if anyone knows any good sources of free to use
.x mesh files and associated textures.  I'm actually looking for stuff like
zombies, men with guns, etc. (the usual stuff - this isn't going to be a
thinking mans game!!!).
