I like this. How much of this would be an actual system of the game (bartering / contract window) or on good faith between players? Great idea though. By providing the tools and not dictating how they are used there is no reason an independent couldn't create his own (new) business (not a formal corporation). For example there will be vehicles. A player might post in-game that he's having a race. Charge a $10 entry fee, hire people to help organize checkpoints, define the track on some planet (or maybe in space) and have a real race. He'd pay the winner some % of the proceeds and keep the reset. This might then blossom into a whole circuit on a single planet or a universal scale across many planets. I could even see the winner being a target for hired "hit-men" or saboteurs. As the winner you might need to hire body guards or upgrade your vehicles with shields. The concept is a lot like SW pod racing, but in a dynamic game setting. The point being, the options are limitless, and I want to provide the flexibility to let players do what they want. --------------------- To unsubscribe go to http://gameprogrammer.com/mailinglist.html --------------------- To unsubscribe go to http://gameprogrammer.com/mailinglist.html
