There are a lot of companies here, and most of them are hiring. Austin has a bit of an MMO focus, but there are also a decent number of console studios, and a handful of non-MMO PC studios. There's even Aspyr, the mostly-Mac publisher/porter/developer company. Quite a bit of the community is California transplants, too.
