I just learned what that was since you brought it up.  Had to look on 
Google.  Guess my education is lacking too :)  I agree with the concept. 
  Just recently in the game I'm working on I rewrote a bloated system, 
replacing it with something half as complex that worked twice as well.

Were they offended by your statement?  In my opinion these kind of bold 
statements are usually helpful if you can back them up.  But it seems 
like it didn't work for you.
