No idea, before you mentioned it I'd never heard of it. So, I can
either keep my mouth shut and not say anything negative, or I can open
up and look the fool. I'm pretty OK with looking the fool. :-)

It looks like tuition runs $28,000, which is a rather enormous sum of
money (smaller than Guildhall or Full Sail's tuitions, more than
DigiPen's MSCS tuition). My gut reaction is... there are cheaper ways
to get there, ways that won't leave you saddled with debt for 10 or so
years.

That's especially relevant when you consider how long careers in the
game industry last; just off the top of my head I can think of a number
of people who were in and out of the game industry in less time than
student loans would get paid off - and plenty more who are just one more
bitter lay off away from moving on.

For a comparison, I spent about $1,500 on three classes at ACC over the
course of two years; I didn't get any degree (just a few certificates of
completion), but I did get the kick in the pants that I needed to stop
worrying and start coding. As Bob pointed out that doesn't lead to game
industry careers for the majority of students, but it doesn't lead to
crippling debt for the majority of students either!
