[gameprogrammer] Re: Game learning project of the month

right now I'm not interested in getting a job in the games industry. I will
take this more as a learning experience / for fun.

for me a complete game is when your neighbour / brother / whatever feels
that it is "finished". so think "menu system, hi score, bug free game rules,
art is not whacky, no crasches, easy to install" etc. it does not mean it is
an AAA game -- it means it does it's job appropriately.

im looking for "completing my engine" with these sorts of projects, then
maybe building a game using that engine. maybe then I would include some
kind of reference to that project on my CV, if it is successful among
friends.

but generally I think a really nicely working Pacman (maybe with some nice
graphical effects) is a lot better than a dysfunctional FPS in an interview
anyway... depends on who you get interviewed by I guess..

Some more question now that I have monthly project:

All the idea provided here are doable in a month. The next question is
what makes a game complete ?

Does it make sens to implement several of such games ?

Does such game will have any impact on a CV in the industry game compagny
?
