Ok, I'll believe you if you can point me at a shockwave plugin that
works for Linux. I can not find one. There is none listed on the
Macromedia web site. I have the flash 7 plugin, but I get nothing but
grief when I try to access director files.

To make matters more interesting, the Macromedia web site has many pages
that don't work with any of the 4 browsers I have. I was particularly
surprised to find that the page where you get to complain about their
web site requires you to have the shockwave plugin installed and
working. That really got me.

Then, there is the small matter of price. Is there any way to develop
for Shockwave 3D that doesn't require either a second mortgage or theft?
Their tool prices seem to be a bit out side my comfort range. I mean, it
seems the complete set of tools is in the same price range as a good
used car.
