as long as it is fun to play with, i guess anyone play it would never
get bored :p
well as for me i still like FF series until now :p

in my opinion, if a character can learn any skill/spell available then
it would eliminate another party members in the team (i'm talking
about FF a like, where you have 3 or more members in the team). But
if, the hero is only one (not team) i guess this idea would just be
fine.

i remember playing Legend of Dragoon back in the PSOne, it has this
leveling system that i like very much. The enemies level up too as the
player did, so i still can be killed in the battle with a ordinary
monster.
