I got this working except that I can't tell how the heck to access the
data pointed to by DATA="blah.txt" or SRC="blah.txt" I tried the
various NPP_StreamAsFile and they are never called. Do I need to
download this myself or something?

So you used the mozilla source.
Try the SDK from this page
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/plugins/
After all you don't need the mozilla to make stuff for the Gecko.

Yeah, I wish I had thought of it sooner. Keep us posted on how it
works.
I downloaded the source to Mozilla, tried to compile the plugin API
for Windows, and got a ton of compiler errors. I couldn't fix them
within 5 minutes so gave up.
You looked the gecko SDK, or the mozilla sources? The SDK has many
example codes and even bare skeleton, which can be used as the base
of ones own plugin.
It was a good idea though. If anyone else sorts this out please
let us know.
