I know a lot of people have given useful advice as to where to look for
networking issues, but I would first determine if it is, in fact, the network
code slowing things down. also, you need to define what "too slow" means. Does
it mean that packet updates aren't coming in fast enough? does it mean frame
rate drops? You need to be much more specific about what you are seeing and the
conditions that lead to the problem for any really useful evaluation to take
place...
