I also never understood the dichotomy between violence and sex in video
games. It is perfectly 'Ok' in this society to depict decapitations, blood,
gore, etc etc, but the second there is an inch of skin on the screen, the
censors go wild.

ZOMG, I saw a nipple! CENSOR CENSOR! AO RATING!!!

I am surprised that Mass Effect got away with the little they did.
