I haven't heard about the recompile yet, but I'll certainly look it up!
Eclipse has a huge footprint, and I'd love to see how my game runs with a
bit more gas in the tank... :)

But once I read some guys recompiled eclipse to native code using gcj.
Have you heard about it? That version runs faster (theoretically) and
requires less memory.
