Why would someone with 20 years experience and someone with 14 years experience work on a freeware project and want to hire a programmer that couldn't find a paying job?

3DMUVE amateur development team

*Project name:*
STARQuest

*Brief description:*
An engine/framework for a new genre MMOPG offering the building blocks to let players evolve without dictating any particular gaming requirements, and a world so large that a single planet could truly be the size of a real planet and if doing sci-fi, the ability to have a near limitless number of planets, galaxies, moons, etc. The real differentiator is instead of a particular genre, the MUVE engine will pull together many genres and allow players to focus on the ones they enjoy while sharing the gaming experience with other friends and gamers they might not otherwise get to play with.

STARQuest is a futuristic world with thousands of galaxies and tens of thousands of planets. Players evolve into teams and are responsible team resources to empower their clan as they see fit. Some clans may steal, others may trade, others will mine. Some players might focus on marine combat, others on space flight and others on diplomacy. The focus is not on the individual, nor is it on leveling, but instead focused on building a strong clan.

*Target aim:*
Staged development with an initial freeware component and depending on interest level etc… we’ll see what happens.
