[gameprogrammer] Re: 18 hours

OK, well, in that case you probably wanna get yourself a good book on C++, I
personally suggest C++ From The Ground Up as thats the book I learnt from,
but I'm sure others will have thier own suggestions.

Now, not to dampen (sp?) your spirits too much, but you aren't really gonna
be pulling any game related stuff off for quite a while I wouldn't imagine.
Once you've got a good understanding of C++ then you can start thinking
about tackling some simple game related stuff, but not until then. It's a
long, hard road, the road to becoming good at games programming, but it's
something that quite a few people here have had to walk and the rest of us
are in the process of doing. I personally, am nowhere near the level of many
of the people here, so I'm perhaps not the best person to judge how it is.

To sum up, it's hard work, but if you can stick it out it'll be worth it,
and finally, best of luck.
