[gameprogrammer] Re: 18 hours

When i did 3rd year graphics at uni, We had 2 major assignments. The
first was to draw a bezier curve onto a flat surface. The second was to
write a ray tracer, with reflection, shadows, phong shading, specular
highlights etc.... using openGL

Now youve only got like 18 hours, maybe that enough. I thought that the
ray tracer assignment taught me the most. Make them write a simple
raytracer, with constant lighting :)
Thats probably not quite the aim of the course though. Maybe explain the
principles, and show/give them example code. As you know, writing a
simple raytracer is a fairly trivial exercise.
