Hi-resolution pictures & printing

Hello. I'm having trouble printing hi-res pics (600 dpi) images with
the FTC. They print blurry, and by default, the FTC reduces the DPI
to 72. I have tried to go through the control and ensure it maintains
the DPI of the image sent in. However, when that is done & I set the
printersetup object's max horiz / max vertiz to -1 to get the best
quality, the FTC beachballs when I tell it to print. If I don't set
the printersetup values to -1, it prints, but again, the images are
blurry.
Also, while looking at the code, I saw that if scale =1 when inserting
an image, a resize is still performed. Additionally, image resizing
in the FTC seems to use REALbasic's built-in scaling which is of poor
quality. I would much rather have it follow the guidelines of using
the MBS scaling functions or the Einhugur scaling functions since one
or the other is already required.
Are there any solutions for the mentioned issues in the pipeline
already? How about a workaround for the reduced image DPI / scaling?
Thank you.
