I need clarification on what you are doing here.

Normal mode is just like page mode except it has no page dividers,
but keeps the margins (even through resize). Edit mode will by
design shift the margins to hug the control edges whenever you
resize (i.e., softwrap). It sounds like you are in edit mode. Is
there some confusion here in which mode you are actually in?
