Yep, my preliminary tests show that the problem that I was having is now gone! Great job!!!!
Do you have a bug report filed in Fogbugz? If so, let me know the report number. I filed one about filetypes being returned as an empty string. I should get them to close out my report and have them reference yours instead, as the issue that you've identified is the root cause.
