I dunno about anyone else, but I think you're doing a great job.
It's nice to see a new control come to life and have a say in how it
works.
OK, I'll open the discussion up a little wider and ask are there
any convenience methods you would like to see added that will make
your job easier?
I've not tried the new FTEditField subclass so I can't offer anything
specific. But, I will say that given the general experience level of
folks on the forums it needs to act exactly like an editfield out of
the box. In other words it needs to be as "drop in" replaceable as
possible with the same properties and events so newbies don't get
(overly) confused.
In my spare time (ha!) I'll try this with an old project of mine that
has some editfields and give feedback that way. Probably be a few days.
I think the only thing the example program needs is an inspector.
Something that updates font names, sizes, colors, paragraph
alignments and so on in a reasonable manner and you're good to go.
You cover some of that with the Format menu but that's not the way
most apps go these days.
Documentation for the complete class is the other thing on my list.
