your statement is correct that the bug cannot reproduced. So we have no cursor 
offset when adding lines in scaled text mode.

The issue I saw was something different:

In text with italic font style some characters like the r character (Arial Font 
on Windows) have a "wrong" width for the cursor placement. This is visible in 
all sizes of scaled text but most visible in characters at 200% text size.

I guess FTC takes calculates the character width as it gets it form the 
operating system. So it is not a bug.

I checked Microsoft WordPad for their solution and found that they use a 
"italic" style cursor when writing italic fonts.

I cannot reproduce either of these two bugs reports.
