[fsug-calicut] data base: free software professionals + free software supported harware

hi friends,
last days i attended ilug Cochin monthly meeting. from the meeting i got got
two threads:
1. make list of free software professionals in our locality
now i'm in mission to create professional in an application software. i
attended the meeting as a part of the search for a professional expert in
free software applications. last week i was at thiruvanathapuram for the
same purpose. i find it is very tough.
2. make list of free software supported hardware (printer, modem, cards
etc.), which is available in the local market.
the printers and most of the cards(LAN, graphics etc.) available in market
has no free software support. but we know this only after purchasing it.
this is very irritating situation, from the customer perspective. we should
be capable of avoiding this situation.
let us make list for each?
any one can refer any person from their own experience.
