Hi: Next Sunday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship of Huntington, Sergio Argueta will deliver a sermon, "An Absence of
Justice," described below.
Martin Luther King once said that "True peace is not the absence of violence,
it is the presence of justice." Does the recent violence in Huntington Station
reveal an absence of justice there? This Sunday, we'll hear from Sergio
Argueta, a young man who was once involved in gangs, and is now one of the
leading anti-gang and youth violence crusaders in our region. He will talk
about why young people are attracted to gangs, and what it takes to blunt that
attraction. His inspiring story will both lift you with the possibilities and
challenge you to action.
The Fellowship is at 109 Brown's Road, Huntington. All are welcome.
