Hi everyone, 
Also at the February 4 meeting, Friends voted to send a donation to Haiti in  
the name of Friends of SF60K. We felt it would be appropriate and right to do  
so, even though many of us may have already donated on our own. If you would  
like to be part of the Friends donation, please send a check in any amount  
made out to Friends of Students for 60000, earmarked for Haiti, to Pete  
White, 16 Stony Hollow Rd., Centerport, NY 11721.
 
Although there are many very worthwhile organizations helping there, it was  
felt that the donation should go through the Iovino Family?Foundation, which  
has been present in Haiti doing good work for some time, has given us $23000
for water in Nicaragua, and has asked each of its grant recipients to  
consider "giving back" by making some sort of donation to Haiti. The Iovino     
Family Foundation is working directly and exclusively with injured and  
orphaned Haitian children. All of our contribution will go toward the     
children, no money will be spent on administrative costs.?  
 
If you want to participate, please send your checks to Pete within the     
next two weeks, so that the donation can be sent off in a timely fashion.
