[fruityloops] Sounds keeps speeding up

Can anyone help?
I have just installed Fruity Studio and seem to be getting a very odd
problem when I insert a granuliser or slicer channel. As soon as I add the
instrument, the pitch of the song seems to go up - the pitch button stays
where it is but the sound is about 20% faster
I am running windows 2000 machine with a Terratec DMX 6 Fire 24/96.
