The people behind the controls matter. Not the software.
You can make super hits with FL, Acid, Sonar, Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, ...
or you can make shitty music with them.

Of course some programs have features which can allow you to be more
creative, but the programs I mentioned above are very much the same thing.
Althrough I think we can agree that FL is less powerfull, it has no match
when it comes down to making drum lines. And it's no throw away when it
comes to synth lines either.

However, if you limit yourself to the samples and plugin that come with the
program, you can say that there is a 'Fruity sound', like you can say there
is an 'eJay sound' and so on.

Good luck with FL and remember that it takes time to master it. Even now,
after almost a year of using it I discover new cool features. Very nice
piece of software.
