Found it!
In the preferences file, I changed:
TitleFontName="-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-*-*-*"
To look like:
TitleFontName="-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-12-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*"
and it works!........ until I change the theme.....

Could be, I setup the laptop without framebuffers and the fonts
were working fine for me.
