Mike also looked at a Dell P2/266 laptop with working battery and docking station which we plan to use as a wireless computer in the warehouse. The Dell doesn't have a CDROM drive so we need to get creative re installing a distro.

1. We can buy a CDROM drive on Ebay.
2. Install over a network. Which requires booting with a lightweight distro, configuring the network interface and transferring control to a Debian network installation server. 3. Remove the hard drive and mount it in a desktop machine via an IDE adapter. Install distro from CD. Replace in laptop.

Any chance it's an industry supported hot swap bay and we have a CD-ROM laying around in the server room to fit it?
