If I had a vote, I'd suggest using the Joomla templates.  That way if you
don't like them in the future or want to change them, it's super easy. 
Over the next month or two, I'm going to take my employer's website an
implement them into the solar sentinel joomla template (looks
professional) and see where that takes us.  This is just one guy's
opinion...
