[frgeek-michiana] Re: LPI prep labs

Hi John,

I've passed the A+ certification from Comptia as well as the network+
Both were incredibly easy and I would NOT recommend taking classes for them.
Rather I'd get together in study groups and study together. Part One of the
test is hardware, including printer repair, which in my view is a very worthy
topic to learn about, especially in FGs business of rebuilding old PCs and
placing them back in the public. Part two is basic windows. If you view it
in this perspective: "Know Thine Enemy" then it is a good thing. So you'll l

learn basic windows tasks and then you actually know _WHY_ it sucks rather than
just saying it sucks. It'll give you more credibility. Typically A+ is a
prerequisite for people wanting a helpdesk job. Remember most of the people
out there use windows so it isn't a bad skill to master. Let me know if you
need more info on any of this.
