Use regular cat five for token ring RJ45 TP connectors. You're supposed
to use 22gauge wire, but 24gauge cat five works well.
As far as compact flash goes, it simply uses the pcmcia IDE drivers of the
linux kernel. It works REALLY WELL! The trick here is to get your mother
board to boot from the compact flash. In a laptop this might be easy, in
a PC you'll probably need a lot newer motherboard with a fancy bios.
I'd boot from floppy if you don't have harddrives, or I just boot from a
small harddrive. You could boot from ethernet if your card has a place
for an eprom, but I suspect you're getting harddrives with each PC you
bring in.
