I'm gonna take the plunge....
IBM Thinkpad T30...
1. Getting an 80g hard drive
2. Getting (if it works) an 1g SODIMM
a. Suffers from T30 dead sodim slot problem...
Plans...
1. Dual boot XP Pro AND VL version??? (Would like it to be 6.0)
2. Get the ordered gps receiver to work w/ Linux GPSdrive package.
a. Probably OpenStreetMap

3. Get really insane and run XP Pro INSIDE VL via vmware or similar?
a. Or dual boot from XP to VL...
**OR** Straight Slackware....
Encryption...
I can install truecrypt on XP Pro AND VL!
a. Shared fat32 partition w/ a truecrypt partition...
This will be a slow process but interesting to say the least...
