[frgeek-michiana] Accounting

This is primarily a question for Tom and Goose, however I'll entertain any 
comments.

I have started scanning all of our financial documents (receipts, statements, 
etc)(I knew that adf on my scanner would come in handy someday). I have 2008 
and 2009 complete and will start 2007 next.My ultimate intention is to make 
them available to all officers of Freegeek Michiana. I will first put them on 
the accounting laptop so that I have them available when I do accounting at the 
lab or elsewhere. I am reluctant to put them online for security reasons.

Would it be best to store these as png files or PDFs? Right now I have both. I 
don't think it would be feasible to make them machine readable though it might 
be possible to put them in a relational database (with much addl work).

This could be an agenda item for our June 30 Board/Council meeting.
