Dear Freebyte newsletter subscriber,
(1) TreePad PLUS has been updated to version 4.2
New features compared to version 4.0.5:
* Tree, added: the option to mark individual tree nodes. One can now
select different fonts/sizes/colors/styles for the the individual tree
nodes. You can access this function using Menu/tree/node properties, or
tree popup menu/node properties. An option to mark individual nodes by
changing the node icon will be introduced soon. If you have any icons
you think can be useful for marking nodes, please send them in!
* Tree, added: in the options screen, one can specify the name/title of
a node when the node is inserted. It is possible to assign the current
date to the title of the newly inserted node, or the time, or date +
time, or a number according to the position in the list of sibling nodes
or a custom definable text. Of course one can also change the node name
manually at any time. Please see Menu/view/options, then in the options
screen, choose category 'Tree/node options'.
* Tree, added: semi-automatic node numbering. You can number the
selected subtree using Menu/tree/number subtree or popup menu
tree/number subtree. You can number just the direct children (one level)
or all descendants (all levels of the subtree).
* Tree, added: tree popup menu/copy/article which copies the entire
article content to clipboard.
* Tree, bugfix: the occasional access violation when selecting another
node should not occur anymore.
* Date and time features, added: in the options screen one can now
specify the format in which strings containing dates and times will be
inserted into the tree and the article. First click Menu/view/options,
then in the options screen choose the category 'TreePad/Date and time'.
See also Menu/tree/paste/node name and Menu/insert.
* Hyperlinks, improved: the hyperlink node-select screen will now use
the default tree font as specified in the options screen.
* Article, bugfix: the cursor does not jump to the start of the article
after saving to file anymore.
* Added: HTML TreePad files. This new file type (with extension
'.htmhjt') is similar to the standard TreePad .hjt file type, but the
difference is that all Rich Text articles are stored as HTML articles.
HTML TreePad files can be read by programs like TreePad PLUS and
iTreePad.
In TreePad PLUS, one can use menu/file/save as, or menu/file/export
files/from subtree to create files of this new type.
* Export, bugfix: removed the error message 'file not found' when the
previous export directory does not exist anymore.
TreePad PLUS is shareware and can be found at: http://www.treepad.com
(2) TreePad Viewer has been updated to version 1.2.1
* Improved: hyperlinks are now single-click.
* Added: the article contents are word-wrapped.
* The program won't lock the opened data-file anymore for exclusive use.
* Bugfix: the print and print preview functions won't cause an access
violation anymore.
* Bugfix: drag-drop has been disabled in the tree pane.
* Bugfix: non-functional items have been removed from the article
context menu.
TreePad Viewer is freeware, and can be found at:
