(10) The following new features have been introduced into TreePad PLUS 4.6
and 4.6.1:
TreePad PLUS 4.6 new features
Drag-drop of a block of article text into the tree
· Added: drag-drop of a selected block of article text onto a tree node,
will create a child node of that tree node. The new node will contain a
copy of the selected block.
· Added: pressing down the ctrl key before (and holding down while)
dragging creates a sibling node just above the target node. The new node
will contain a copy of the block of text.
· Added: pressing down the shift key before (and holding down while)
dragging will create a sibling node below the target node. The new node
will contain a copy of the block of text.
· Added: pressing down the alt key before (and holding down while) dragging
(in combination with any of the above three drag-drop actions), the dragged
text block is moved from the article into the newly created node. This
means that the copied text block will be deleted from the article after the
operation is completed.
Drag-drop of files into the article
· Added: drag-drop of one or more files (from e.g. the Windows Explorer)
into the TreePad article will create relative or absolute (default)
hyperlinks to those files from inside the article.
· Added: the option for file hyperlinks which are created using drag-drop
of files from the Windows Explorer into the article to be absolute
hyperlinks, or to be relative to the current TreePad file. To set this
option, you can go to the options screen, choose the category
article/hyperlinks.
Drag-drop of files into the tree
· Added: drag-drop of one or more files (from e.g. the Windows Explorer)
onto a tree node will import those files into the tree node as one or more
child nodes. The action is the same as menu/file/import files/into sub
tree/one or more files.
· Added: pressing down the ctrl key just before dropping the file(s) onto
the tree creates a (set of) sibling node(s) just above the target node.
· Added: pressing down the shift key just before dropping the file(s) onto
the tree creates a (set of) sibling node(s) just below the target node.
Drag-drop of a block of text from another program into the article
· Added: drag-drop of a selected text block from another program (like a
Word Processor, an email program, a Web browser) into the TreePad article
will insert that text into the article.
Drag-drop of a block of text from another program into the tree
· Added: drag-drop of a selected text block from another program (like a
Word Processor) onto a node will create a child node of the target node
containing the text.
· Added: holding down the ctrl key while dragging the text block into the
tree creates a sibling node just above the target node.
· Added: holding down the shift key while dragging the text block into the
tree will create a sibling node below the target node.
Drag-drop of a hyperlink from another program into the article

functions with Netscape and MS Internet Explorer, and also with a lot of
other programs which can display hyperlinks.

Please note that the automatic paste menus are only available in advanced mode.
· Added: automatic paste for the tree area. This new feature can be very
useful for pasting emails and other texts which deserve a separate tree
node. When the tree has focus, automatic paste will insert a new node into
the tree, and the article of that new node will contain the pasted text.
When the article is active (has focus), text is pasted into the existing
article - as usual - and no new node will be created. Images can not (yet)
be pasted directly into the tree, but they can be auto pasted when the
article has focus.
· Changed: article copy/cut are disabled as long as automatic paste is active.

will abort the operation.

address, one can copy the address of the currently selected node onto
TreePad clipboard as a hyperlink. Alternatively one can use tree pop up
menu/copy/node hyperlink address for this. (b) then, with menu/edit/paste
node hyperlink, one pastes the hyperlink from the TreePad clipboard into

special/paste node hyperlink.
