One pen i had not followed at length was the thin model Snorkel.
Last year having fallen into 100 or so of the wee beasties, i hadta do
a crash course. Now i follow 'em.
Another pen i've not focused much on is the 1940's
celluloid Triumph nib Sheaffers. In part because most (?) seem to be
plunger fill, which posed hassle. However, of late with more restorers
using the method advanced initially (?) by Nathan Tardiff, with parts
put out there by David Nishumura, these pens can be restored in rock
solid fashion. And... i've fallen into some of them. Go figure. The
examples sold here by Gerry seem quite nice; this prompted me to do
some pics of mine. And, those upturned nibs seem always to write well.
Later today will post a picture of a few really nice ones sitting
around. Would like to flesh out production era, price point, sizes, etc.
... later
