Quoting Northwest Pen Works <michael@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:
Hi David and all,
Could you measure the lengths of the pens in your photos for me? I
have one of the burgundy colored Gold Bond Dorics. It looks like what
I would call a standard size Doric.
The Gold Bond pens that were models made by Eversharp and Waterman's
caught my interest a few years ago. I like "oddball" pens in general.
There's one model that looks like a Waterman's Thorobred or 5112 (?),
vertical stripes, interesting clip, that I do not have, yet. A friend
found one a few years ago. Fun stuff!
It would be interesting to find out more information on these Gold
Bond pens, i.e. the arrangements between the manufacturers and the
retailer. They were made for Montgomery "Monkey" Wards, or was it
Sears?
David, if you come out to the Portland Pen Show this year, we need to
talk about backgrounds for photos/pens, and that uttbuggly butterfly
motif background you sometimes use! Artsy backgrounds need to be
subservient to the objects being featured :-) It's ok, I've wrestled
with it too! The postcard background you use is nice. I like that
one.

So... happy David last month when the Long Green Pen (shown below)
arrived to make a set from the pencil shown above.
Strange how wee niches in this hobby can prove charming.
