Re: [ZossPens] Wahl Equi-Poised Mechanical Pencil

Purse pens are shorter. thinner. Yours is a clasp model from the
more usually seen line.  The flamingo on the left is like yours

Most of the purse pens seem to have a different capband, though i
believe exceptions (perhaps for certain colors) exist.

Here is the hack-amateur survey on the Wahl Purse Equi-Poiseds.
Already, i would tweak a couple of details. And one day soon i shall.

Recently developed interest in vintage pencils led me to buy this Pearl & Black Wahl pencil off eBay.  In trying to learn a bit more about it, I
was sent to
David Isaacson's Wahl purse pen article and, indeed, this would
appear to be an
Equi-Poised pencil.  Excellent color and working condition.

This one has the two cap bands as shown on the Clasp models on the
catalog page
shown in David's article.  Length is 4.5".  So, what is the
difference between a
Clasp model and a Ladies' Purse model?  How long is a purse model
pencil?

Any enlightenment you may provide will be appreciated.

TIA,
