Try it like this, Jerry...

WHY are 1930's Parker $10 Slender Maximas more scarce than Parker $10 Senior Maximas (fatter pen, same cost), whilst 1930's Sheaffer Balance "!000" Slender OS is far more common today than the "1000" OS???

If folks wanted the fattest pen offered at same price (one guess for the Parker Sr. Max outpopulating the Slender Max), then wouldn't this apply to Sheaffer too?
