Yes — and soon thereafter, it will become the *only* acceptable
pronunciation: "nu-klee-ur" will have gone from correct to obsolete.
Only scholars and the perusers of etymological dictionaries will know
that anyone ever pronounced it as the spelling might suggest —
pronouncing "nuclear" the way we spell it will sound as ridiculous and
uncouth, then, as pronouncing "knew" according to its spelling would
sound in our own time.
