Pens for Sale - Customized Nibs by Greg Minuskin

In advance of the Columbus Pen Show in a few weeks, I had several pens
customized by Greg Minuskin. For those that don't know, Greg is one of the
newer nib meisters on the block, but he is rapidly developing a reputation for
excellence that ranks him right up there with the very best. He learned his
craft at the knee of none other than John Mottishaw, and is even an expert in
watch repair, having been trained at the "Harvard" of watch making schools in
Neuchatel, Switzerland. Visit Greg's website, www.Nibretipping.com for more
information.

If anyone is interested in reserving any of these pens and avoiding shipping
charges, I'll be happy to deliver them to you personally at the Columbus Pen
Show. If you can't make it to Ohio, here's your chance to buy a fantastic pen
with a nib that's been tweaked by one of the hobby's rising stars. Greg's
craftsmanship will typically cost $45.00, but I'm offering it on these pens at
next to nothing.

Here's what's on offer in the first batch:

1. Sailor Professional Gear: Sailor's notoriously smooth and free flowing 21K
Medium nib has been converted into a notoriously smooth and free flowing
cursive italic. This pen is light and comfortable and will make an outstanding
daily writer. For those of you with smaller hands - and handwriting - this
could be your new favorite pen. Retail with a standard nib is $300. I'll take
$235 for this one.

2. Sailor Precious Woods in Rosewood: An unusual pen from Sailor in that it
has an 18K semi-hooded nib. Sailor's Precious Woods pens are made from real
wood, which have been smoothed and polished to really show off the beauty of
the wood grain. The Precious Woods are gorgeous pens, and are consistently
admired when they're on display at Pen Shows. This one is made from genuine
Rosewood. Greg has performed his handiwork and converted the original broad
nib it into a nice smooth cursive italic. One caveat: because of the
tolerances between the nib and the feed on this pen, Greg had to remove a
portion of the underside of the feed. This does not affect the performance of
the pen at all, but it is visible to the naked eye. Because of this, I'm
selling it for only $250.00, even with Greg's nib work (Retail is $350.00).

3. Lamy Persona in Black: The Lamy Persona used to be Lamy's top-of-the-line
fountain pen, and was available in several finishes, including Black resin,
Platinum and Titanium. This is the black pen with a brushed titanium cap. It
is equipped with a medium 14K nib that Greg converted into a stub. This is the
lightest of the Persona pens, and is comfortable enough to use all day. It is
a cartridge-converter filler, and originally retailed for $225. Even with the
modifications, I'm asking only $175.

In the next few days, I'll be posting more pens that Greg has worked on,
including some Bexley Submariners, a Lamy 2000, a Platinum Lamy Persona, a Lamy
Accent, and more.
