[foxboro] upload timeout errors

A while back, I reported a problem we had with the upload function in our I/A 
system.
I'm glad to inform that the source of the problem was found to be an rpc client 
program running in an external Vax computer that we use to pull in data (about 
500 variables) into our refinery's real time database. This interface was 
causing
a lot of OM scanner overruns in some of the systems' stations. The problem was
also reflected in frequent slowdowns of display callups. Does any body know of 
an
efficient way to transfer these many variables out of the I/A system ?
