[foxboro] learning Sun Microsystems workstations

Hi everybody,
I have been recently told that I have to learn as much as I can about Sun 
Microsystems workstations and servers. I need to learn Unix as well as how 
Windows systems can connect to these Sun workstations.  I know how to network 
with Microsoft, and I just started to learn about Unix. If anyone can help 
point me in the right direction, the help is greatly appreciated.
